ARTEFACTS FOUND AT POMPEII AND HERCULANEUM
There were various artefacts situated with the bodies in Pompeii and Herculaneum which were perfectly preserved under the layers of ash. These artefacts vary some demonstrate incredible beauty, craftsmanship and ritual, while others are useful tools and items which resemble the design of those we use today all providing us with a extensive amount of information about the people who once occupied these cities. From this information it is evident that this was a highly advanced society due to the wide range of metals that were available to them and the highly intricate and sophisticated tools, artworks, objects etc... used by these people. We can make the assumption that they had a form of culture as sculptures and artworks with some sort of cultural significance are found in mass amounts throughout the sites.
